My divot repair tool, my dad gave it to me when I was young. He told me "If you ever want to beat me, you should learn to use this." It's the first thing I take out and first thing I put away.

Probably my putter.  SC Newport 2.  My ball marker from Mayakoba is #2.  I played there a few times on my honeymoon.

If my wife wouldn't pitch a fit, I'd sleep with my wedges.....

Failing that, I also have to fall back on the silly pitch-mark repair tool that I've had more than 30 years.

this isn't an answer to your question at all.

If you consider golf clubs (and the associated peripherals) nothing more than tools of the trade, I consider the event of actually playing the prize.  In the same way that a carpenter doesn't show off his tools, but shoes off his finished work.  To me, the tools change, get replaced, upgraded, etc.  The event, spending a day walking around in a park like setting.  At the least spending it with like minded individuals (fellow golfers) and even better when you are amongst family and friends.  To clear your head of every stress in life, clearing your head, and focusing on the simple task of placing a small dimpled ball into a slightly larger hole several hundred yards away.

So I guess to me, my favorite golf equipment isn't a piece of equipment at all.  Its the experience, its hitting the wedge close and sinking the putt to save par.  It's the beer that you share with your playing partners after the round to reminisce about the good shots, and laugh about the bad shots.

If that answer is too Walt Whitman, than the most important accessory of the golf game is the drink holder, be it the one on my pull cart, or the one in my riding cart.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

It would be my divnick. The ultimate 1-club that replaces all clubs in your bag. It has a telescopic shaft and when collapsed, it fits in a fanny pack.

Just drove a Garia golf cart down Park Lane in London, if you want to travel in style, I would recommend this..

New to me Callaway FT-IQ Fubuki Driver.....was hitting it dead straight all round yesterday

Also bought a brand new Odyssey White Hot XG Putter that I have been playing very well with.

Favorite non-golf related item, but in my bag --> I have an old Portuguese Escudo coin that I use as a ball marker.

Favorite item is my Nickent Evolver Driver, especially with the UST Proforce V2HL Shaft.  Second favorite would be the divot tool I got when I played Pebble Beach.  Now that it's about $600 to play (unless you stay at the Lodge) I've probably played it for the last time, since I don't have quite the game that I used to have.

Currently I would have to say my Game Golf tracking system. I have always wanted to know my club yardage under actual playing conditions. Hitting balls from a flat lie on a range is just not the same. The system allows me to relive the round and analyze the results. I can chart my progress and easily measure my improvement.

I like golf "stuff".

The irons and putter in my sig have been with me for 35 years, and my main wedge about 20. I recently aquired a  full leather cart bag  at a bargain. I have been playing mostly vintage clubs lately, meaning wood woods. Each one is unique, so when you find one that works, it becomes sort of special. The ones in my sig are becoming pretty reliable.

I picked up a nice set of Macgregor VIP 90-92 remakes a few months ago, but haven't played them yet. They need grips before being played. If they play as good as they look, they might become treasured.

I have several little items like ball markers and repair tools that were given to me by my kids, and of course those are cherished.

One of my most used pieces of gear... An Lynx 8 iron that was cut down to a kids length, about a 25" shaft, and re-gripped.  I bought it in a used bin for $5.  I can swing it in my office without hitting the ceilings or walls.

I think mine is my game golf too, me second favorite is my rbz 3 wood I hit that thing so well it's hard not to love it.

Probably my Bushnell range finder is first and Golf Shot app would be second. They help me get as close to a caddie as I can get on the course.

I like non-club-gear and got lots of it, but my favourite item has to be my 8-iron. I just love hitting that club.

    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.

    • Honestly, unless there's something about that rough there that makes it abnormally penal or a lost ball likely, this might be the play. I don't know how the mystrategy cone works, but per LSW, you don't use every shot for your shot zones. In that scatter plot, you have no balls in the bunker, and 1 in the penalty area. The median outcome seems to be a 50 yard pitch. Even if you aren't great from 50 yards, you're better off there than in a fairway bunker or the penalty area on the right of the fairway. It could also be a strategy you keep in your back pocket if you need to make up ground. Maybe this is a higher average score with driver, but better chance at a birdie. Maybe you are hitting your driver well and feel comfortable with letting one rip.  I get not wanting to wait and not wanting to endanger people on the tee, but in a tournament, I think I value playing for score more than waiting. I don't value that over hurting people, but you can always yell fore 😆 Only thing I would say is I'm not sure whether that cone is the best representation of the strategy (see my comment above about LSW's shot zones). To me, it looks like a 4 iron where you're aiming closer to the bunker might be the play. You have a lot of shots out to the right and only a few to the left. Obviously, I don't know where you are aiming (and this is a limitation of MyStrategy), but it seems like most of your 4 iron shots are right. You have 2 in the bunker but aiming a bit closer to the bunker won't bring more of your shots into the bunker. It does bring a few away from the penalty area on the right.  This could also depend on how severe the penalties are for missing the green. Do you need to be closer to avoid issues around the green?  It's not a bad strategy to hit 6 iron off the tee, be in the fairway, and have 150ish in. I'm probably overthinking this.
