36+ handicapper ball

How much would the typical golfer be willing to pay for a lower tier ball (considering you can get a used mid tier ball for about 50 cents each)? A quarter maybe. 25 cents isn't enough to cover the cost of the 5 items above and allow the recycler to make a profit.

Agree. I get those cheap Wilsons at .42 cents per ball new in the red sack at Wall-Mart (and the sack itself is useful). If I really wanted the urethane balls, I might buy used. But with cheaper used balls, even Top Flites and Pinnacles still cost as much used as those Wilsons are new, and then you have to pay shipping unless you spend over $100.

Target has sacks of 48 balls for $20-$24. Maybe a quarter or more are premium balls.

I go to the flea market every now and then.. They have like new cheap balls for $5 per dozen. I have gotten a dozen like new tour balls for $8.99 or $9.99.
