Lots of instruction on achieving the same thing. Most have many things in common. I like Shorty's explanation best, but also Spyder's.  When I find myself in that situation, I usually grab a #4 hybrid. play the ball back in my stance sometimes as far back as off right toe. Come down on the ball, use "hinge and hold" but keep it low , legs rather quiet. Keep follow through low like maybe 1 foot off the ground and "point" not so much of a release involved as there is hold in place. There is some rotation involved though. If I need to go a little higher, use a club with a little more loft. Ball will normally shoot out, maybe 3 to 4 ft in the air,  hit the ground and have a pretty good roll on. Last time I tried this, I was in the trees and although I tried to keep it low, it went a little higher than I wanted, but as it turns out, good thing. Even though I did not go under the lowest branch, it found an opening a little higher and had an unobstructed flight right up to the fringe of the green. Threaded the needle.  or to put it another way.....Just Got Lucky!

Lots of good tips. For me, the easiest has been to put the ball way back in my stance, choke down on a 4 or 3 iron, and a short, sweeping swing. The ball tends to fly out low and fast.
