But here or some Links.. My name is Dan Greiner my GHIN is 0011458 like my username(I did that so people can look me up before calling BS because there are a lot of haters out here) But I have no problems with giving some links to scores. Here are a few links for you:

https://www.birchcreekgc.com/files/2012/02/BC-Championship-Recap-and-Payouts.pdf

That is my 4th place 112 over 27 holes. 4 over total on a course from the tips (you can look up the scorecard if you want the course is called Birch Creek)

Here is the Normandie Am, Shot 82 and 81. Please take a look at my second round back nine.. horrible finished Triple Birdie Double Double Double.

This is a tournament with the top am players in St. Louis and Illinois area. First tournament back.

US AM Pub Links qualifier:

http://ghintpp.com/maga/TPPOnlineScoring/ResultsStroke.aspx?id=134 Finished with 4 straight bogeys the second day to shoot a good round.

To the guy who says I said I won all these events.. I haven't, I don't recalling saying I have won anything. I am still getting my competitive rounds down. I can post plenty more if you would like.. Oh I will throw in a college round for you:

http://golfstat.com/2010-2011/men/mtourfl10/M9595.htm

The first link above I am playing in the same tournament this weekend. I can keep you updated if you would like and post those rounds as well.

Anyways, I will work on getting the swing recorded. But I do know if you asked Tommy Gainey for his swing, would you really say he is on the PGA Tour? I have a pretty simple and efficient swing I built myself with no lessons.

If you need anything else just let me know.

Your 77's and 81's look impressive Dan keep up the good work. I've learned more about the golf swing on TST Forum than could ever have imagined. I recommend that you send your swing video to Iacas for his scrutiny, his swing analysis will astound you and will keep you moving in the right direction.

I would say your doing a nice job with your game looking at your tournament scores. Nothing earth shattering but a solid start to a good golf game. I started as a junior at age 10 and was scratch by 17. Which for a junior novice versus an adult novice the strength and size factor come into play until about age 15-16. The nice thing about starting as a junior is you automatically gain yards every year as you grow!

Your definitely on track to reach the club pro level and with a little more practice and improvement should be able to pass the PAT ability test for the PGA of America. If your thinking Mini-Tour "playing pro" level you have a long, long way to go.

Good Luck Bro!

Play the correct set of tees. Try to play the 6000 yrd tees if ego won't allow you to play the ladies tees.

Use the longest iron you can hit well (solid contact), straight and get some yardage - but stay in the fairway. Don't care if the wedges roll along the ground, but a PW should go straight, and go a 100-110 yds or so for a beginner. Work on short irons, and wedges on the course because they're easier to make better contact and have a tendency to go straight(ier).

For a beginner, I would say if you don't have much technique, keep your arms relaxed (soft) around the greens. Tension will lead to poor shots.

This.  I play with lots of different people and see so many killing their score with driver.

To the OP:

First, if you think I'm going to let you win kickstarter of the month, you have another thing coming.

Second, kudos for being open with your story and not being vague with the details.  It's a lot easier to relate to a guy whose claims are verifiable.

The fact that you thought you were the sh** and shot a 102 in your first competitive round is pretty cool.  I got a laugh out of that.  Nothing like tournament golf to really humble us.  One of the reasons why lots of new members get based on this forum when claiming they are ready for the big-time is because we have a feeling they would go out and shoot a 102 if given the opportunity to take their game to the tournament tees of a real course.

Lastly, sounds like a lot of your inspiration for this thread is based on a corner you've recently turned that has allowed you to break through in a way you haven't before.  How long ago was that?  Have you come down from that breakthrough or has it remained consistent?  Breakthroughs in golf scare me because I always wonder how long they will last.

Yeah, I just broke this barrier where birdies seem to come more frequently. Before I had one maybe 2 per round.. would go a few rounds without one even sometimes but make a lot of pars. Then I played in a practice round with a local pro here at CC of St. Albans which is LONG/ Setup difficult too and made 5 birdies in a row. Doing that while playing against a guy who I knew was on average, better than me and I didn't let that get to me, was a huge break through for me. That was about a month ago and the following weekend I went out in a skins game shot 68 then the next round shot another 68, then in a Metro Cup Match(match play team event/ you play your own ball but against another local course/club) I was down 3 with 9 to go and shot 3 under on the back to halve the match.. Being able to make birdies and make a bogey less costly is the corner I turned as of recent, I hope it keeps up. Shot 32 on the front nine of a course here the other day with 4 birdies and no bogeys 8/9 GIR. We will put it up to the test on Sunday when I play in a 27 hole stroke play event though. Would like to put a tournament round under par together. I hope more birdies than bogeys lasts forever! haha. I know one thing, I am making them and hitting the ball a little low on the face with my irons.. range time. I don't like to go to the range 2 weeks before a tournament though.. makes me start to think a little too much. I WILL putt/chip a lot and play as much as I can but no wacking 100's of balls.

Holy crap TJ, let it go. We have enough thread of your ranting about this guy.  Please don't hijack another.

I'm sure if he ever stumbled upon the site, he would run away as fast as possible thanks to a few recent threads. Can't say he doesn't deserve it, either.

People who make websites about themselves are not interested in communities.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
