What Ball type and color do you prefer so you can see it easier when using a Driver ?

Im capable of hitting the ball 300 plus yards and that white ball is dam near impossible to follow when playing golf by your self !  If you hit long drives like I do ,   you would think differently im

2 - Callaway

I'm also using the Callaway in yellow right now. The Hex Chrome + in tour yellow. I used to HATE the idea of a yellow ball, but it's actually growing on me.

I am playing yellow Callaway Hex Pro from Costco.  It makes things alot easier as long as everyone does not play them.

I also like walking up to the green and knowing which ball is mine without looking.

Golf balls are white.  Tennis balls are yellow, or white if played on grass.   Pool table felt is green.

Don't mess with the nature of things......

Tennis balls used to be white. Period. They changed to yellow. Why? Easier to see.

Balata balls used to be off-white at best, especially after they sat in the bag for a month. Not sure what color they were before balata, but they weren't the stark raving white we have now.

Embrace the change!

Not all shades of yellow in golf balls are the same.

The shade of yellow in Titleist NXT Tour S is amazing. It's a light shade that seems to glow when you see your ball lying on the fairway.

However, I play Srixon Q Star in white because the yellow option is a darker yellow with a touch of green that for me makes it harder to see. If they made the Q Star in a lighter shade of yellow I would use it.

totally - so many different shades in the yellow balls today.        Agree the Titleist DT Solo or NXT are the brightest, but the Noodle Distance yellow at half the price has the same microscopic metalflake in the cover which makes them so glowy & visible

Tennis balls used to be white when tennis was primarily played on grass. Balata golf balls were white. Period.

Playing the hex Chrome in yellow to finish off the dozen. Decent enough ball, but I miss my tour iZ's or whatever they were from a few years ago. But I DO like the yellow, it is easier to pickup in the air, especially with the sunglasses that I have (or had, I lost them last weekend...arrrgghhh).

I play a lot in early morning when grass is covered in dew.  In the sunshine, the grass gets a silvery appearance making white golf balls much harder to see..for me anyway.  Srixon's yellow is really bright.

Driver:  Callaway Diablo Octane iMix 11.5*

Srixon TriSpeed Tours in white, yellow golf balls just seem so..........toylike, it negates the grave importance of everything going on there. I mean, I wear a special glove and special shoes for this, these aren't toys!

      With the H4 or the watch, you tag the club before hitting by putting the tag next to the device. The tag is on the club butt end. After a round, you don’t really think about it too much. You just do it. I don’t know how far you are from @phillyk, but he may know an instructor in your area.

      So the biggest issue right now is marrying the hands down with an athletic turn. I can get stuck not turning. Things get interesting from there.

      Hi everybody!  I am new to the golf game. I have taken some lessons and got fitted for clubs a couple of months ago. I usually score between 110-120 for 18 holes.  I bought a Stealth driver last year and have been hitting consistently with it 210-230 yds on the simulator. But when I take it out on the course, every drive is a severe slice!  I played 18 holes yesterday at the club where I belong. I removed the driver from my bag and used the 5 iron to drive with. I hit straight 16 out of 18 drives, 180 - 200 yds. I used the 5i - putter for the rest of my game.  I ended the day with a 92. Question: Does it make sense for me to continue playing with irons only until I get further along in my game before I reintroduce the Driver and woods again? Or should I continue to struggle with the Driver and woods and shoot in the 100’s again? To me it’s a no brainer, but for those more advanced I am interested to get feedback.

      Thank you, currently I only had the 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 irons in the bag. I was never finding myself in a situation to use the 4 and 5 so I dropped those a while ago. The 60W is what I've been practicing with the most in the back yard, but that's only with short chipping. I don't think I've ever practiced hitting my wedges at 80% - 100% apart from yesterday. Maybe I should be doing that more. Generally I would be using a 9 iron if I was out about 75 yards or so. I am not really sure I understand your mention of the 60W and 3H. Aren't these going to be giving me completely different results? Unfortunately I am not able to adjust the loft on the hybrids I have. I looked into the Shot Scope H4 you suggested and this seems really neat and handy, however I am struggling to understand how it works. Am I correct in assuming it doesn't track the ball distance until you hit the ball a second time? Say I drive from the tee and walk up to my ball, tag the next club and hit the ball. Is it at this point when I tag my next club while standing next to my ball that is knows the distance? Thank you, I am going to give the local shop a call and check their prices and see what they can offer.
