Marketing machine has to keep turning out new products to stay relevant and achieve corporate financial goals.  They have become their own worst enemy in that they are having to shorten their product life cycles to maintain revenue numbers.  I like the look of the SpeedBlade irons over their RocketBladez and RocketBallz but overall it looks like a RocketBladez iron with blue trim instead of yellow.

From the TM website....

All other Irons are Inferior

The Speed Pocket makes all other irons inferior. It’s nothing personal. It’s innovation. The Speed Pocket gives SpeedBlade irons the fastest face of any TaylorMade iron ever, creating a potent combination of ball speed, high launch, long carry and steep descent that’s never been possible before. You’ll hit shots you never thought you could -- higher, longer, closer to the hole.

Didn't the RocketBladez have the Speed Pocket too?

Yes but this speed pocket is even speedIER!

Doesn't "Rocket" seem to denote higher speed that just "Speed".  Maybe they need to trademark the name MachXBlades, then they can use a number to indicate they are faster.

Dont buy them! Ive heard they're bringing out "SliderBulletz" in time for Christmas! They've got a sliding weight just behind the speed pocket to help shape shots! and they're Even faster and longer than these! ;-)

How could they have possibly missed out on RocketPocketz????

The thing about this is, how are you hitting the ball higher when the lofts on these irons are tuned 1.5 clubs strong? Also, how do they equate a faster ball speed to making you hit it closer to the hole?

That is the disappointment of the century right there.

Because everyone knows that if you go to Dick's and buy a new expensive set of clubs from a top brand you're going to instantly become a better golfer.

Should probably pony up the extra $$$ for Tour Issue, just to be sure.

Plus a new TaylorMade hat and a box or Pro V1s just to take an extra five strokes off.

I thought you were supposed to buy that new 6 layered ball that someone just came up with, since you obviously need a different layer to "activate" each time you hit a shot.

The new TM look ok. Not a fan of the speed pocket looks. Never actually hit them besides the Adams hybrid

I'm glad that TM hasn't messed around with Adams brand too much.  If they start to mess around with Adams then I will start to look elsewhere if I need to buy new clubs.
