you can hit a fade, no one is telling you to not hit a fade. Note when we say a pull fade tends to go lower than a push draw, Its not that significant, and the spin loss isn't that significant. There have been plenty of golfers who play good golf with a fade. were just trying to say that the old myths that have been said over time don't apply. Draws don't go farther than fades, they don't spin less, ect.. Both are acceptable shots as long as your consistently hitting them.
