Reunion in Madison if you can get on and across the street (almost)is Annandale where they have a PGA event, also private, but maybe you have connections. I got to play Reunion a couple years ago in an outing. Deerfield is up the road between Jackson and Canton. It used to be open to the public, but is now part of Colonial Country Club, so I don't know the status. Worth a call. There used to be a neat little 9 hole course at I-55 and Lakeland called LeFleur's Bluff- I think it is still there-fun little track. There is a course called Castle Woods in the Brandon area. I am sure there are many more close by.
