So this is for all things shaving - What blade do you use? Shaving cream? I have been looking into the single blade/brush old-school way, seen some stuff that says the multi blade ones are actually more irritating. Anyone have experience with these? Not the fold out knife looking things, but the ones from like the 50s...

I use Electric as well, but I have a baby face when it comes to facial hair.  I can go almost two days without shaving and still pass military standards on facial hair.

When I do use a blade I just use disposable cheap blades.  It helps to have light facial hair I guess!

I use a Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power razor with Nivea pre-shave wash and Nivea shaving gel (I think it's the kind for sensitive skin). I only have to shave my baby face twice a week though, so I save money on blades. ;-)

Anyone know if the micro touch one they're advertising on TV is any good? Rick from Pawn Stars seems to think so, but who knows. He seems like a straight shooter though of a guy.

Scam or legit?

PS- I use the exact stuff as flopster above ^^^

PPS- Apparently this is a legit life hack. Thanks, Cracked:

Unless they have made huge strides in single razor blades, I'm calling it worthless, unless of course you want to go back to cutting your mug up with every shave.

I have been using the fusion for, well since it first came out, I just use hand soap with it, works fine for me.

Well, there is a pretty sizable market for single blade razors and people who swear by them. A friend of mine, for one. Says he'll never go back to multi blade razors.

To each his own. When ever I go to buy new blades, I seldom if ever see many single blade razors, or blades on the shelves.

I use an electric razor, currently a Norelco, and I shave once every three to seven days. I have a separate bard trimmer for whatever the hell you'd call that crap on my chin. :)

I don't grow hair very quickly in case that's not obvious.

I use the five blade razor by Gillette. What I like is the neutrogena shave cream, way better than standard shave gel. Just have to really wet the area to shave or the razor gets a bit clogged up.

Of course. It seems to be more of a niche market.

I've got a Merkur HD safety razor that I've had for I don't know how long.  I use it for shaving my head as well so it gets a lot of use over the course of a week.  I like Feather blades as they're wicked sharp.  I use a badger brush and whatever shaving cream the body shop has for men (changes yearly and it lasts for ages so I don't really pay attention).

I also did a brief trial with a straight razor.  Gave an amazing shave but I didn't have the guts to use it on the back of my own head.  They also take quite a bit of extra up-keep which wasn't really worthwhile (at least for me).  Fun experience though!

Given my preference, I like the Gillette Fusion razor and the Gillette shaving gel (it doesn't foam at all, just a clearish gel) but I will use whatever razor and cream my wife brings home.   She looks for deals on that stuff and consequently, whatever is cheapest is generally what I get.    Doesn't seem to make much difference in the quality of the shave and I rarely get nicks anyway, so I don't complain.

    • Have you looked at Model Local Rule F-9 Relief from Tree Roots in or Close to Fairway?  You could extend this to cover exposed rocks.  The rule is recommended to be used only for areas relatively near the fairway, a player who hits a shot 20 yards in the woods doesn't really deserve relief.   Players can always take Unplayable Ball relief, they're not required to play it from a rock or a root.  Of course, they hate to take the penalty stroke too.
    • I agree with @klineka, you're clearly doing something right.  Its always going to be a bit of a guessing game if you don't have any scoring history.  On the other hand, understanding that it takes only 54 holes to establish an actual handicap, and they have about 6 weeks in which to play and post enough scores, I don't think its at all unreasonable to require them to have an official handicap before they become eligible for prizes.  I don't know how you structure the fees for the series of competitions, but if its possible they'll play with the group without being eligible for prizes, you could consider a way to let them do that without contributing to the prize pool.
    • I run tournaments and want to put in a local rule that allows relief from tree roots and rocks that are not loose impediments. We have some really terrible lies in some of our courses in my area and nobody is getting paid enough to break clubs. Let me know if you think the verbage for this rule makes sense. Local Rule Roots and Rocks You may move your ball from a tree root or buried rock one club length for free relief no closer to the hole. However you may not use this rule to get relief from a tree, bush, boulder, or other foliage hindering your swing. Your only option here is to play it as it lies or take an unplayable for a one stroke penalty.
    • Makes sense.  Like I said, I wouldn't have been upset at their original offer either, and based on the fine print it seems like they've held up their end of the deal.
    • If you've only had to adjust retroactively one time in 8 years and have around 5 people each year without handicaps, that's like 40-50 people total so it sounds like you're doing a pretty good job. I think your questions give enough to go off of. This might be a good way to get new people to actually post a few scores during the 6 weeks leading into the first event. Something like "New members will be eligible for tournament money once they have at least 3 posted rounds in GHIN" or something like that. If they can get 3 rounds in prior to their first event, then they're eligible. If not, they'll soon become eligible after an event or two assuming they play a little bit outside of events.
