Sorry to be so late to respond but I wanted to let you know that the X Mount itself will attach to any of your existing tripod/ gorilla pod mount. It is only $18.00 for the X Mount by itself. The clamp is simply an attachment. If you were to say get the X Mount only, you could use it with your gorilla pod and any of your alignment rods. That's a great deal!


Yep good deal. I'd snap it up if I didn't already have a Joby GripTight (basically a slimmed down X Mount) on my GorillaPod or if I needed the sturdier grip provided by the wider grip on the X Mount, e.g. for bike handlebars or other moving mount. For stationary images though the GripTight is sufficient. :)

The campaign failed but I think it was more of a pre-order situation. I think they're still being made and will be available for sale.
