When I was fitted for and purchased my irons 4 years ago, I had no proper golf swing, most likely a scooper, sweeper, whatever. Now I am hitting down on the ball. Would there be a chance that I would need a different lie angle? Would this change when your swing changes?

To test your clubs to see if the "lie" is correct.

Simply place some masking tape on the sole of the club.

Place a thin piece of plywood or a non breakable plastic flat material on the ground.

Make a couple of full swings making contact to the board.

Look at the sole to identify where the club impact tears the masking tape.

If the club "lie" is correct, the tape should be scuffed evenly across the sole.

If the tape is only scuffed on the heel or toe, then the "lie" needs to be adjusted.

You can probably have this explained in detail at a golf store or shop.

They may have the proper equipment to make adjustments, if necessary.
