hahaha, I share your pain on that some weeks.

To be honest I think Luke Donald will turn it around before Westwood does.

I also wonder what will happen to Poulter and the Ryder Cup team if he continues with this foul play.

Poulter had a strong finish to last year, I don't think he is in a long term slump like Donald or Westwood.

But lets face it he could miss all the cuts between now and September and he'd still get a captain's pick and he'd still be the most feared player on the European team.

How would you do it?

To award less points, you'd be saying that they finished significantly lower in a tournament than they "did." Should winning two matches be the equivalent of making the cut in a regular PGA Tour event?

I don't have THE answer - but to award T33 points for playing one match play round and losing, and T17 points for winning one match seems to me like getting candy on Halloween. Those points are worth money - as in getting invites to future WGC events, and majors.

Rickie is a great example - placed 3rd and jumped from 56 to 38, more points than a 4th in a major & locking him into the next WGC Doral in a couple of weeks

And using Spieth as another example - he won 3 matches and gets more points for that than for T4 at AT&T; Pebble.

I just seems "generous" to me....but then I think these events should be called the "Rich getting Richer".

Players play, tough players win!
