How far should i bring the club back?

Take it where it feels powerful and you get the best results, go for a wider arc and light grip for more distance. Keep in mind bones spinning in the sockets isn't where power is, it's skeletal muscles preparing to fire body parts in the desired direction. I used to turn way past parallel, until a guy told me my hips were over rotating. After a bit of work, (basically...just stopping my hips at a checkpoint) I really discovered power from proper coiling. Now my club goes slightly past parallel when I get loose, and my trigger is this feeling that the club is almost in free fall just before I slam it in the ground and break another driver.

Im not close to scratch, but what works for me is the tees under arms drill. Impossible to lift yiur arms while holding them. And feeling my back of the right arm attached to my side in the downswing. Huge leap forward for me using this thought. Shot an 85 first time out with it, vs my usual mid low 90 at this course. And i had 38 putts. All long game. Longer flat spot
