Is it an old course. Or an old farm, orchard that was made into a golf course say 30-50 years ago? Or a course that has limited amenities?

In or around Pasadena, CA they are all old courses. ;-)

Brookside course 2, hole 6.

There are two courses there.

The one I measured opened in 1985; the other opened in 1962.  Other than that, I really don't know much about the history of the place.

It's a dump and they don't maintain it well at all but for $16 a round, you get what you pay for.

I have never seen a course with big variances. Any time I am near a plaque it is within yard or so of gps.

In after thought, my 60 yard measurement with the laser might have been off. I could have been measuring 20 to 40 yards closer than it really was. I might have been measuring the little hill in front of the green rather than the flag.
