That would make me cry too......
OT, I won the CTP opening day last week. The prize was my choice of a wedge (Titleist Vokey SM-6 58*)
First shot on course, holed out for bird.....
30 yards out, downhill to a short side pin. High flop, small bounce, roll out 5 feet, dead center, dropped without touching the pin.
Late bump on this, but just wanted to see if others have a better solution to this scenario:
Shot 1 is a total chunk into the water with an 8-iron.
Drop from the designated drop zone for Shot 3 (way over there to the left of the green).
Here's my issue: the 8-iron shows up as a 185yd shot, when it was really just totally fatted into the water, maybe about 75yds. It shows up like that in the hole description below. Plus in the insights area: Off the Tee indicates a 185yd 8-iron, my approaches area shows a 185yd shot that was wide left (really it was straight and short), etc.
As you say, @Golfingdad, I'd prefer the software just ignore it (if not automatically, allow me to tell it to ignore that shot). Maybe I just delete Shot 1, and add a +2 penalty to Shot 2.
I go through each hole, compare it to my memory of how I played it on the course (and my scorecard), and try to edit for as much accuracy as possible.
As long as I do the editing within a day or two, I've found I can pretty much remember every shot. I do have trouble remembering pin positions sometimes, so I might start making some sort of notation for that on my card...maybe just write down the lengths of my putts for each hole.
