Hi all,

New member.  I've been "golfing" since high school, but it was once or twice a year until I graduated college 4 years ago.  Since then, I've been consistently a 100 average golfer.  This year, my goal for the summer is to improve enough to shoot under 90.  I bought the Stack and Tilt book and an unlimited range ball package, and have been there as often as the weather gets nice in Cleveland.

Let me start by saying that I'm SURE I'm not doing Stack and Tilt right.  Without anyone to watch me and correct me, how could I be? I'll get a video up when I can, but I don't have one to share yet.  My natural swing has always been inside-out with a push-draw, but I was always the type of golfer who never hit the ground, I just picked the ball off it (inconsistently, of course).

Here is where I stand:

I'm hitting my 6-9 irons better than ever.  Definitely the most consistent I've ever had them, in only 2 weeks of trying S&T.;  Small push-draw.

I'm hitting my driver better than ever.  I'm not getting a push-draw, but its been dead straight and accurate every time I've pulled it out at the range this week.

Everything else sucks.  My wedges are all going very right off the clubface and slicing.  Long irons and woods are pull-draws, except when I hit behind the ball, which I seem to do more often the longer the club is.  Whatever I'm doing, I'm doing extremely consistently. Example - today I hit a bucket of balls entirely with my gap wedge.  I had that extreme push slice on 45 of the 60 balls, and 10 of the remaining ones I topped trying to make some sort of adjustment.  It was miserable.

Any ideas on things to try?

Welcome the forums ... I think the first thing the smart people are going to ask, is do you have any videos of your swing ...

Until a video is posted...try hitting your short irons with half swings. Focus on the basics of the beginning of the swing. Erik and Mike(Iacas /mvmac) have some excellent videos to watch showing some 1/2-3/4 swings.

Not yet, but I'll get one up as soon as I can.

Thanks for your suggestion!
