I suppose it depends how much you play a course. Personally I wouldn't find a book useful on courses I am familiar with. I know how far to bunkers and hazards because I play there often. The variable is tee markers moving around but not enough to worry about. Really only need exact yardage here and there for anything but approach shots. Not really consistent enough to worry about it anyway until I get close the green.
