Screwed up royally this year....  Last year, I was using a golf app to track my index.  This year, I decided to renew my Golf Canada subscription, to keep it official.  The issue I have is that the app uses the gross scores, and GC uses ESC scores.  What a mess I have now, as I've been entering my gross scores into the GC site instead of the adjusted scores, 19 rounds so far.  Jeesh!!!

At least they are going to help me straighten it out, and get my index to where it's supposed to be.

On a brighter note, after six opportunities, I finally made my EAGLE on hole one at my local course.  246+/- yard three wood and an 8 foot putt.  I have been hitting the green lately from the tee, as my baby draw plays into it well, but the putting has been killing me.

It is confusing at first going from a scoring app to official.  I still use ScoreCard even though the company is no more. I enter my official with the GHIN app.

It really shouldn't affect your index much, if any. With a course hcp of 10-19, your ESC is 7 on any given hole. Unless you're the most wildly inconsistent 10 hcp in the world, you just don't have many 8's or higher to adjust down. Of those that you do have, fewer yet will be found in your low 10 of your last 20 scores. I'd be surprised if your index changes more than a tenth or two. Honestly, I wouldn't worry much about it and just post correctly going forward.

Yep, this turned out to be true.  Just got off the phone with them, and went through my scoring record.  Any scores where I could have potentially had a triple marked weren't even factored in, so yes, I was worried about nothing, ha ha.   I just wanted it to be as accurate as possible, being that's it's my official factor.  One good thing about all of it, I found out GC has a scoring app, so no more piling up scorecards and entering totals.

    • It's been a little more than a year since I can last remember hitting golf balls and today I just got my second cortisone injection in 11 months. I thought maybe shortly after the first injection I was going to be able to start playing again with therapy but the pain while doing my backswing past halfway just didn't subside like just lifting my hands up in the air did. So today the Orthopedic surgeon put more in the backside of the shoulder than before to address the tendon more. I'm going to try therapy for another 3 months and if I  can't swing the club without pain then I think surgery is going to be my next option.
    • I was just down visiting family in southern California and we played a couple rounds of golf. I hit my ball into the deep rough near some tree's and my cousin's husband offered me his Sim 2 Rescue Hybrid to try out. And I felt the same way, wow! I loved it, it also had a Pure DTX grip on it which I loved. As soon as I got back home, I ended up buying two used Calloway Rogue X hybrids, 3 and 5. So far I've only tested them out at the range, but I love them. They're much more forgiving than irons for me.
