Apparently, along with depression and anxiety, he was struggling through the early stages of Parkinson's. My heart breaks for him and his family.

Carlin's bit is as much like an Occupy Movement rally speech as it is a comedy sketch on golf. The audience cheers on those jabs at us evil, corporatist, ignorant, racist, and plain stupid golfers. Wow. There were some funny moments but the demonization seemed more frightening than light-hearted. I've liked Carlin's edgy stuff but I'll respectfully disagree with his overall angle on this one. As always, Robin Wiliams was brilliant though! "So just one hole?.... Oh no, 18 f@$&/!-ing holes!" Riot.

Robin Williams was one of a kind. Julliard educated, multi-talented, perhaps the quickest wit known to mankind, and a person spoken highly of by everyone who knew or met him.

It seems that there is a link between Parkinson's and depression. We would expect that any person would get more depressed with the diagnosis of any debilitating disease but maybe the link with Parkinson's goes beyond that.

I even heard one report that symptoms of depression can show up before the symptoms of Parkinson's and that the two could be somehow intertwined more than the obvious.

This article focuses on the drugs used to treat Parkinson's and a part they may have played.
