Just saw the commercial for these the other day. I also found out that the first weekend they were available, they sold 5,000 dozen.

GREAT ball. I play this ball over the Pro V1x.

Very cool. Yes definitely a great ball, I go back and forth between these and Bridgestone B330's.

I just played with these over the weekend and I loved how they felt. They seemed longer than the B 330's and have just as much feel around the greens. I love how they feel off the putter which is important to me. If they have any promotion make sure you put a link on here. I won't be needing anymore golf balls this season but I would like to pick up a few dozen more for next spring.

I need to call and see where my order is. I signed up for the free balls, you pay for shipping. They charged my card full price for a dozen balls plus shipping a month ago and nothing showed up. I'd like to try these balls but no luck getting them.

I was charged as well a few weeks after I got my balls. Make sure you call them. They will send you a dozen a month and charge you for them. You have to call and cancel which I what I did.

Damn, I should have read the thread before I signed up for the "free" balls I guess! :-X

It's on the site lol. I was going to check these out but if I read it correctly the "free" balls aren't even free. They charge your card 7 days after you sign up and I would guess you are lucky to even have the "free" balls by then. I've never played them obviously but for $39.99 with an auto subscription you can darn near go buy ProVs. Not sure who their target is but it appears to be people who don't click the policy button (or whatever it said similar to that) on the bottom of the site.

$39.99 is a little steep for me especially since I tend to misplace golf balls fairy often. But to me they are better than proV's. I think they do all the things a proV does around the greens and are longer off the tee. If I was going to spend this amount of money it would be on Kick X every time.

I saw the offer too. I'm assuming you can sign up for the free balls and cancel the recurring payment immediately?

Well I play ProVs but I don't think they are that special. If you don't put spin with your shot it won't spin. And I bump and run chips so they don't check anyway. I only play them because I don't lose a lot of balls and they Re the "premium" I can go 10 rounds on a dozen and about 30% of them I put out of play because of scuffs and let my wife hit them which she enjoys. That said for $8 more I will continue to buy ProVs. The price difference to me isn't worth taking a chance of throwing away $40 to try them. If they are that good I am sure they will be all over the pga tour soon then I might check them out.

I would guess you would have to let them ship them first and it would be easy for them to take the 7 days. Give it a shot though and let us know if it works.

I never was very good about reading the fine print...

I hate the way so many internet companies are resorting to this kind of tricky marketing. It might not be dishonest but I don't like feeling that I've been duped.

These "Free" golf balls are not free.  Seems dishonest to me.

The first dozen is free. You only have to pay $0.99 S&H.; Nothing dishonest going on there. The terms are explicitly and conspicuously stated on the order form.

So when they charge you after 7 days they send another dozen? Per their site: "Pay nothing plus $0.99 S&H; today for today's shipment and then you will be billed $39.95 in 7 days to your credit card. Thereafter, each dozen balls is $39.95 with free S&H; charged to your same card."

That has nothing to do with the free dozen. The terms are plainly there, it's not like they hid them at all. You can cancel anytime by calling.

Well I edited and posted after you so you tell me what that means? What's the charge after 7 days for?

    • I did read the fine print tonight. It said replace with “similar features & function”.  8 yeas ago my purchase had features that today are available on the lower end models and the current version of my model has more “bells & whistles” than what I got 8 years ago.  So I am thinking they honored the agreement and I can’t argue the offer. since getting a credit for the full purchase price all I am really out over the past 8 years was the cost of the extended warranty, which was less than a low end  treadmill would have cost me. now the question is which model to replace with.  I’ll stay with Nordic Track or I forfeit the $1,463 credit so I will get Nordic Track.  And they honored the warranty and were not hard to work with which is a plus.
    • Generally speaking, extended warranties are a terrible deal and should almost always be avoided. They are a huge profit center for the companies that offer them, which should tell you almost everything you need to know about how much value most consumers get when purchasing them.  This is correct, and the old adage applies - only buy insurance when you can't afford the loss. This usually doesn't apply to most consumer goods.  To your second question, no I don't believe the offer is fair. They are replacing it, but it is not being replaced at "no cost to you". Since the amount being disputed (over $500) is non-trivial, I would probably push the issue. Don't waste your time on the phone with a customer service agent or a supervisor. They have probably given you all they have the authority to do. Rather, I would look at the terms of your agreement and specifically legal disputes. The odds are you probably agreed to binding arbitration in the event of a dispute. The agreement will outline what steps need to be followed, but it will probably look something like this.  1. Mail the Nordic Track legal department outlining your dispute and indicate you are not satisfied with the resolution offered.  2. Open up a case with the AAA (American Arbitration Association), along with the required documentation. 3. Wait about 4-5 weeks for a case to be opened - at which point someone from Nordic Track's legal department will offer to give you the new model at no cost to you.  They certainly don't want to spend the time and energy to fight you over $500. 4. Enjoy your new Nordic Track at no cost to you. I recently entered binding arbitration against a fairly large and well known company that screwed me over and refused to make it right. In my demand letter, I made a pretty sizeable request that included compensation for my time and frustration. Once it hit their legal department, they cut me a check - no questions asked. It was far cheaper to settle with me than to send their legal team to defend them in the arbitration.
    • I never thought of looking at it on multiple purchases like you said.  Yes, the extended may help me on 1 or 2 items but not the other 5 or 6.
    • Day 84 - Forgot to post yesterday, but I did some more chipping/pitching.    Back/neck were feeling better today, so I did a much overdue Stack session.
