I read Golf and GD, it's just something to read you-know-where, Golf is terrible, 90% ads, I really hate those equipment spotlights (more ads) GD on the other hand is decent, still a ton of ads but at least they offer some reading.

I subscribe to GD and Golf and prefer GD, but do get the most out of Golf Tips.  I do not save these magazines as I do my fly fishing magazines since they do get somewhat repetitive, but I occasionally get a nugget regarding the golf swing or equipment that helps.

Back in the 70's I read every Golf Digest and actually attended a Golf Digest school at the Lake Geneva Playboy Club. It will always be one of my fondest golf memories. The school was led by Bob Toski, Peter Kostis, and John Elliott, Jr.

Now I read Golf Magazine, because I go to the local golf show and get a free subscription with my admission price.

If I had to choose one of them I would lean toward GD.

I used to subscribe to both Golf and Golf Digest religiously for 10 years.  I finally dumped them because I wasn't seeing anything new.  A few years ago, GD sent me an offer I couldn't refuse ($10 for a year, so I bit).  The first issue I got didn't have anything to read except the table of contents until page 37.  That's right--nothing but full-page, double-page, or triple-page fold-out ads for 37 pages.

I had every golf rag out there, until we bought a PC..now, there's so much info on the interwebs, I don't even look at the golg mags.

I wish there was a magazine that had more indepth articles and analysis. And one that wasn't obsessed with subscriptions. I hate those pop-up boxes on the website.

Just wait a few months.

Hmm.  Are you going into the golf magazine publishing business now, Erik?  After your  recently published and well-received book, LSW,  a spicy GOLF LAD MAG sounds like a winning plan.

Hope you have an important job planned  for Mike as i find his posts esp informative and helpful.

Please elaborate iacas

No thanks. How can you elaborate on "I'm not doing" something?

Now, back on topic please:

I have always been loyal to Golf Digest. Are there any golf magazines that are better? How would rank them?
