I was watching the australian golf show on tuesday, and they were advertising and testing the yes c-groove putters. They were saying how smooth and pure they rolled along the greens.
Are these the real deal??
If so, i may be purchasing one.

Real deal? It's just marketing. The only real deal is to try them.

they may give the ball a nice roll on smooth greens - but if they make that much of a difference than why are the top players still playing odyssey/scotty/rossa/ping too?

most decent putters with an insert have a nice feel - amteurs playing on sub-tour-standard greens shouldn't worry too much about what a c-groove can do for your game but as mentioned above, there's the power of marketing - evidently people are buying them (they were the only putter available at the Walker Cup merchandising).

Actually, Yes! putters are becoming more popular on all the tours. I don't believe they have any staff members. I want to say they give "gifts" to players who use them. You do have to keep in mind sponsorship dollars. Yeah, Odyssey and Cameron dominate the PGA Tour and rightfully so. But there really is something to the C-Groove tecnhology. It's not a gimmick.

I bought a Yes! putter about a year ago without even trying it out. Ordered it from Golfsmith and could not be happier. Obviously the condition of the greens is going to have a great deal to do with how well the ball rolls, but I have noticed while playing with other folks that my ball doesn't skip and hop as much. Obviously I got lucky buying a putter without trying it out, but I like the look and can now say that it's limited by 3 putts to 1-2 per round.

I recently tried out a bunch of putters and I did not really like the Yes putters that much. My personal favs were the Taylormade Rossa putters, I liked these much better than the Scotty Camerons that are twice the price (or more)...

I plan on getting a Rossa putter either this winter or for next season...
