You were restricted by a moderator (the system doesn't say which) from the U.S. Open discussion thread for, among other posts, this "gem":

Surprised they didn't include a blurp about Bengazi and how Hillary Clinton set it all up. And wooo a minute to showing Easy Rider - Didn't those guys partake in a marijuana joint during the movie ? Not very Conservative in my opinion and not FOX worthy... Besides, how do they even have time for a commercial with all the Clinton Bashing. They are wasting money on her when she has no chance to win. Easy peasy another Bush is going to win it. All depends on who he puts in seat #2. They have more than enough money to buy this election.

It is a GEM huh... OK

I guess so when you leave it in context by itself without the full comments or comment too. I guess the site is just all about the avg. golfer with no opinions, smile and like it. Give the robotic comment to all posts.  Funny hoew everything is turning out like so....

How generic....

Take care,

It's not like that.

You don't get to bring political discussions into a golf discussion. We have plenty of political discussions here - more than most other sites - but they belong in the non-golf forums, not in "Tour Talk" and not in a thread discussing the season's second major.

If you want to talk golf, there's no place better. If you want to talk about politics with your fellow golfers , we allow that too. Just not in the golf threads.

I agree with the mod (again, whichever it was) restricted you from the thread.

    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
