You're no longer the worst golfer on the course

- You don't need 20 balls in your bag to get through a round.

- You can aim for (and hit reasonably close to) a particular spot instead of praying that your ball just ends up somewhere in play.

- You're finishing holes in ESC or under rather than picking up halfway down the fairway.

- You feel like you can play with strangers without embarrassing yourself.

- Your ball retriever is no longer the most used implement in your bag.

When you drive onto the fairway you're actually playing more often rather than the fairway next to yours

When I don't play a Titleist off the tee and Nike out of the rough ... When laying up a par 3 is no longer part of my course management strategy ... When roofing companies stop calling to ask what course I am playing that weekend so they can distribute flyers ...

Start tending the pin for your group more, cuz your ball is not always the furthest from the hole or the only one off the green.

when you don't need to pull out the driver every time on par 4's or 5's.

After my worst round of the season yesterday I'm tempted to start a thread "You know your game is declining when.." but I'll stay away from that.

You know your game is improving when you don't get nervous on the first tee with others watching.

When you no longer dig through the bag for a 'water ball' before hitting over the lake on #15.

A round of golf is now 18 holes instead of 9.

You get to drive the cart.

Your skins game 'donation' finally pays off.

Playing partners no longer take cover behind large trees and carts when you address the ball
