I've been Playing Golf for: 3 months. Played irregularly 5-10 years ago - played about 10 rounds in total and had some lessons. Started getting lessons again and hitting the range. Manage to start playing rounds quite regularly too.

My current handicap index or average score is: 28 Handicap. Can play some good golf over a few holes then will have a blow up triple bogey!!

My typical ball flight is: Usually quite a high draw with woods and fade/slide with irons.

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Can have a bad pull-hook with the Driver and can also push-slice so when I'm in consistent, I'm very inconsistent! Occasionally shank full wedge approach shots too!

Videos:

These two are my two most recent behind-view iron shots.

In the youtube channel there are more videos. I will post up the feedback that I got from the instructor in a bit and what I have been trying to work on at the range.

Shaft loads too shallow on the backswing and then you have to steepen it on the way down. Recommend doing two things.

- Flaring your feet.

- This drill to "stand" the shaft up on the backswing.

Thanks for the feedback!

I have a had a bad back for the last week so haven't been able to practice, but once it's better I'll get working on that.

So far my lessons have been working more on transferring weight forwards and keeping my hands in front at impact, neither of which I'm still doing very well.

Out of interest if I have been trying to recover from a shallow take away with my downswing what kind of bad shot will this usually produce?

Basically a bit of everything except for push draws ;-)

Will lead to the path being well across the ball so pulls and slices, just depends on how you time the face. Contact will also suffer.
