I am attempting to find out what everyone thinks about new, upcoming, or undiscovered apparel brands?  I do a lot of merchandising and am constantly looking for something that nobody else has.  We have just brought in Matte Grey and Heather Grey and those companies have done very well for our club.  We have moved past the tired Travis Mathew brand and into some newer Linksoul type companies.  I am wondering if anyone has any others that they would recommend?  Any and all answers are welcomed!  Thank you in advance!

I'll second @saevel25, the Linksoul clothes are really comfortable, and so far seem to be very well made.

Try State Apparel.

I am a big fan of the State Apparel clothing, however with the price tag of $130 retail it is a hard sell to many members.  You can get Peter Millar and others for $90-100 so $130 seems a bit excessive to me?  Then you add the logo and you can make the price tag $10 more.  I would rather buy a rain jacket for $140 than a polo.  I am looking for something to stick around the $75-95 price tag.  Thank you for the input on State Apparel though.

EVERYONE ON THIS TOPIC:

I already know and carry Linksoul haha... I am looking for something else new, either along the same lines or not.  I also carry Martin and Fennec, which are cool new brands that fit into the Peter Millar mold.  I have looked for some new brands and just do not see anything else that could make it big market.  I agree that State Apparel is a great company, but at their price points, I do not see it as scaleable for the everyday consumer.

It's the "Made in USA" that is tough to find, that makes it expensive.

It is cut more slim than Peter Millar, whom I also wear, and has better touches and a more structured buttoning area and collar. Plus you can wipe your dirty hands off on the sides. The fall lineup, including pants, is more attuned to colder weather.

But I understand the cost. I would not sell it at the retail price as it would not sell.

If you want something not well known and less expensive, the shirts that Adam Scott wears:

I don't know much about them...

Ping G400 Max 9/TPT Shaft, TEE EX10 Beta 4, 5 wd, PXG 22 HY, Mizuno JPX919F 5-GW, TItleist SM7 Raw 55-09, 59-11, Bettinardi BB39

Thanks for including STATE APPAREL in the conversation:dance:

We're a socially conscious and innovative clothing company, so we manufacture in downtown San Francisco and offer a garment that functions as equipment. Of course you understand that this translates into a higher price, compared to nearly all clothing that is made overseas.

Although some great resort and club properties have picked up our Fall Collection, we understand that our pricing may not work for all retailers and consumers. We have every intention on addressing this part of the market. There's definitely interest and demand for our product, and as that grows we'll be able to expand our product offering.

Stay tuned for more from STATE APPAREL and thanks again for thinking of us.

Personally, I'd like to be able to buy the clothes worn by PGA professionals we see on TV.  For example, Jason Day wears Adidas shirts that can't be found online anywhere.  Also, it's tough to find the same slit-hemmed pants worn by most tour players.  Their definitely wearing Nike, Puma and Adidas pants, but finding exact pair is always difficult.

That said, I stick primarily to Adidas, Puma and Nike clothing lines.  I like the way they look, feel that they are fairly well-made (Puma seems to be better quality) are comfortable and a decent value for the money.

The ultimate "old man" setup:

Ping G30 driver
Ping G Fairway woods - 5 and 7 woods
Callaway X-Hot #5 hybrid; Old school secret weapon
Ping G #6-9 irons; W and U wedges
Vokey 54 and 58* Wedges
Odyssey Versa Putter
Golf Balls

You mention the Adidas shirts that Jason Day wears.  You are not going to find them with the logos on them that are his sponsors but you can definitely find those shirts.  I have several of them and bought them online from various online retailers.  Some of the shirts he wore at the Open Championship were the Adidas Climachill Heather Polo which has button under collar.  I have 3 of those and got them at a reasonable price.  As far as the pants they wear...I never really look.  I wear shorts mostly year round because of where I live.

    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
