There are SOME athletes who are also entertainers. One of the BEST of this elite group is now "stealing the show" in Heaven! Meadow George Lemon, best known to the entire world as "Meadowlark" passed away last Sunday. While he achieved FAME as the leading member of the Harlem Globetrotters, he was just as proud of being ordained a minister in 1986. If you listen carefully, you can hear the angels playing "Sweet Georgia Brown"!!

He spanned the generations. First, I remember my Dad and Mom taking me to see him against the Washington Generals  and also watching them on TV.  Secondly, I remember my wife and me taking our son and daughter to the Utica Memorial Auditorium. Now, we have taken our granddaughter, the Ryleigh girl. You know, it NEVER "gets old" seeing them and hearing "Sweet Georgia Brown"!
