My first reaction was "Sure I believe him. He would NEVER lie". After reading Christine Brennan's column in USA Today, I am not so sure. What do you think?

You are making an assumption that we all read what you read, or even have all the background information on what your talking about.

I don't have the slightest idea on what the subject is, other than it is something to do with manning.

Yeah @PEZGolf, you really need to start citing sources and posting links to the articles you're mentioning if you plan to start a thread.

Agree with the above - give us some background.  In the meantime, I'm just going to assume that your asking if I agree with him that Papa Johns is the best pizza.  And on that one I'm gonna have to go with a big fat no!!

Also, after learning of his sleazy actions in college, I hold him in much lower regard than I used to, so after finding out whatever it is you're talking about, I'm likely going to lean towards no, regardless.  (Check the "controversy" heading here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peyton_Manning)

OK. I wrongly assumed that since it was BIG NEWS on ESPN and in newspapers, even our local one--the "Utica Observer Dispatch" that All Jazeera reported they had statements and other evidence that Manning had been taking HGH, which is BANNED by the NFL. while Manning has vehemently denied the charge, Al Jazeera is standing by the story. I have the December 30 issue of the "New York Daily News", written by Nathaniel Vinton.

Rather than copping a 'tude you could have just linked to an article or something.

Still could.

Don't know, don't care. Didn't even know any of this was going on until now.

I believe Manning did what he did yesterday. And that was to insure the Bengals have to play the rotten, quarterback-injuring Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs yet again.

If he didn't do it he'll vehemently deny it.

If he did it he'll vehemently deny it (like Lance Armstrong).  Manning's comments including the threat of lawsuit pretty much the same as Armstrong's reaction to allegations against him.

Therefore anything he says about this should be ignored.

Did he use ped's, I don't know.

I can't find the USA today article you mention.

All I know is that there was an allegation that HGH was mailed to Peyton's wife, the source recanted, and the owner of the clinic said the source didn't work there at the time.  Given that, I'm inclined to find not guilty on the issue of Peyton using HGH.

The Al Jazeera report is pretty convincing. You can watch the undercover video here: http://deadspin.com/here-is-the-full-documentary-that-alleges-peyton-mannin-1749848850

Possibly under pressure from Manning's lawyers, Sly (the guy who allegedly worked there at the time and damns Manning on video) changed his story. As stated above, Al Jazeera is standing by its report.

I've grown up seeing many top athletes implicated in various PED scandals: Lance Armstrong, Floyd Landis, A-Rod, Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Roger Clemens, Marion Jones, Ryan Braun, just to name a few.

Considering how lax and predictable the NFL drug testing policy has been, I think America would be shocked if a substantial number of players, including Payton Manning, have not been using PEDs.

On the other hand, if Manning is using PEDs he sure isn't bulking up in the process. Just watch him play. Arm strength is way down from prior to his injury.

That said, I agree that NFL players are making mince meat out of whatever testing the NFL actually is doing.

I agree with you.  I do not know, either.  I hope not, but I felt the same way with Lance Armstrong and then felt betrayed when he finally admitted it.

So did I. That was a big blow that definitely made me more cynical.

Hypothetical brain exercise ... same exact set of circumstances and facts but replace Peyton Mannings name with Tom Brady.  Go:

    • However, have you ever considered using small summer houses for such setups? They offer a great solution for creating dedicated practice areas, especially for an affluent audience looking to enhance their outdoor living space.
    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.

    • Honestly, unless there's something about that rough there that makes it abnormally penal or a lost ball likely, this might be the play. I don't know how the mystrategy cone works, but per LSW, you don't use every shot for your shot zones. In that scatter plot, you have no balls in the bunker, and 1 in the penalty area. The median outcome seems to be a 50 yard pitch. Even if you aren't great from 50 yards, you're better off there than in a fairway bunker or the penalty area on the right of the fairway. It could also be a strategy you keep in your back pocket if you need to make up ground. Maybe this is a higher average score with driver, but better chance at a birdie. Maybe you are hitting your driver well and feel comfortable with letting one rip.  I get not wanting to wait and not wanting to endanger people on the tee, but in a tournament, I think I value playing for score more than waiting. I don't value that over hurting people, but you can always yell fore 😆 Only thing I would say is I'm not sure whether that cone is the best representation of the strategy (see my comment above about LSW's shot zones). To me, it looks like a 4 iron where you're aiming closer to the bunker might be the play. You have a lot of shots out to the right and only a few to the left. Obviously, I don't know where you are aiming (and this is a limitation of MyStrategy), but it seems like most of your 4 iron shots are right. You have 2 in the bunker but aiming a bit closer to the bunker won't bring more of your shots into the bunker. It does bring a few away from the penalty area on the right.  This could also depend on how severe the penalties are for missing the green. Do you need to be closer to avoid issues around the green?  It's not a bad strategy to hit 6 iron off the tee, be in the fairway, and have 150ish in. I'm probably overthinking this.
