Swing update- I haven't had a lot of time to work on the swing but I'm making progress. I hit some balls today into the net at about 30-50% speed. I'm still working on shallowing the club in the transition. I've added in not over flexing rt arm past p2-p6 and not over cocking from p2-p4. Mac says you cannot flex the trail arm over 90 degrees and I def do and my rt arm moves slower than my shoulders open in the transition. I know the need to move about the same rate, but I have to feel like the rt elbow moves faster than anything lol. Thanks for any feedback.

Love that face-on impact position. Awesome swing!

I appreciate the kind words. It's getting better but has a long ways to go for it to be consistent and where I really want it.

I'd work on maintaining more secondary tilt on the backswing so that you don't have to tip back your head on the downswing.

I don't love how the left arm works down instead of out early in the downswing, but that's likely a secondary thing IMO and is tied a bit to the first.

I appreciate the critique. I would love for the left arm to move out more, work in progress. I don't think I extend enough on the backswing.

You extend plenty - possibly too much - on the backswing. That's why your head is forward and has to back up.

I'm getting there, still have to get tht elbow forward and not over flexed in transition. Changing the picture everyday though.

The shaft steepening, the extra extension, and the tipping the head back on the downswing all inter-relate.

Let's see a swing where you actually change the picture. Make it wholesale different. Get a feel for it. See what it takes to overdo it a ton.

Again, the right arm will want to over-flex if you overextend/sway the hips back.  Like @iacassaid, maintain more of your axis tilt on the backswing.

Like this guy, notice how the extension rates are different, much "softer" with the upper back.

I understand.  I need to see a side by side of a person over extended and then the correct amount. Thanks!

Ahh.. I appreciate the help! I watched my swing next to RRock and it looks like my shoulders open much faster than my arms, his move at the same rate, or it appears that way. I'm starting to understand things and making progress.

My exaggerated feeling of shallowing the club in transition and getting the rt elbow in front. I know my hands don't need to get that far away from me. It's just a feeling for now.

It looks a little better. Still a long ways to go though. Doesn't look terrible at speed.

@coop6 The glaring issue is you are shutting the clubface immediately after impact. Many tour players are holding the face square until halfway up on the forward swing, some even open the face after impact. I have seen a few that shut the face as well but it happens a bit later. I was doing this because my club face was too open at the top. The reason you're doing this is because on the downswing, your body is not bringing the club to the ball. Your upper body should turn and begin moving the arms through. The body should lead and pull the arms, however this does not suggest the arms should trail too much that they become disconnected. Teaching pros argue all the time whether the swing is a oull or a push. Many say it is a pull, because the modern swing is taught to have the body pull the arms as much as possible, especially for power in younger golfers. However the old school still calls it a push, because there is always connection. Remember the body guides where the arms should be going. The body must go first where the arms will follow close behind. If you look at your swing, you can see from the top your arms drop down, which is great as it prevents over the top and promotes dead hands. The problem is the body isn't leading or pulling. The body isn't doing enough on the downswing. Look at the forward swing, it is mostly arms. The arms are going where the body has never been before. Don't let the arms go where the body hasn't been.

I've never seen it.

And I'm excluding slight toe hits, of course.

    • This is pretty much how I look at it.  I understand there are times when the piece of mind has value. I think over the long haul I'm money ahead by never buying the extended warrantee. Hell, What do I know? I went to Ch!cago PubIic SchooIs.

    • On my car I got the extended power train warranty. I do read the fine print most of the time. Though at now 37, my eyes aren’t what they were 10 years ago.    The problem with most of these extended warranties on electronics and appliances is you don’t register the warranty with the place you buy the warranty from, which I’ve always found strange. Unless it’s GameStop then you know Alina drops her Switch in the next two years and the screen cracks they’ll replace it. No questions asked.    You buy a slow cooker at Walmart for $50 and the extended warranty is say $6, you have to go through a third party to register your product for the warranty, and it’s pretty damn annoying. Target is the same way. Anything you buy the extended protection on you have to go through a third party.    Why do retailers go through a “broker” for warranties? Because they don’t wanna deal with it? They make me talk to someone from another country, that I can barely understand, when I need my warranty fulfilled.   Sorry for the rant.
    • You may be able to find a regular flex Blueboard on the second hand market. I’m little more than half your age so I swing a shaft that launches pretty low so I don’t have a lot of experience with Regular flex (other than when I try to hit it I miss way to the left).    There are other shafts, such as the newer Ping Alta that I’ve heard good things about. And one that no one talks about. The Jupiter shaft. You can get this shaft for a $100 with a grip and your Ping adapter installed. I was talking to the golf manager at Dick’s Sporting Goods here and he has one in his driver and has nothing but good things to say about it. I thought about getting one for my Paradym Triple Diamond to play it a little shorter, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
