Played my first round in about 4 1/2 to 5 years, could still keep it in the fairways my approach shots were off target a little bit, best shot i had today was a par 4 had a good drive had about 140yd to the green and i bounced it off the pin left me 3ft birdie putt, ended up 16over for par70! Better than i thought id do after so long!

Good work. That will get you coming back. What was the club that you need the most work with after some time off?

Yessir and it cheaper to drive and go play a course than pull boat to lake and have to buy fuel for boat and truck then you go in into the tackle store to pay for boat ramp and you gotta try out these new crankbaits etc it adds up

Funny thing is...  There is a guy that I play with once in awhile that carries a fishing rod with his clubs and stops to fish in the middle of the round. Kind of odd and misses a few holes, but always catches a few. Catch and release of course. I like fishing and golfing but not at the same time.

There's a couple courses I used to play where I have seen some monster bass just hanging in the shallows, presumably because there's almost no fishing pressure on them. I always vow to come back with rod and reel, but where does the time go...also most of the ponds are within direct line of fire of golfers...

    • I have a putting mat in my office. It's 9 feet long almost 4 feet wide. I've drawn a line down it in order to practice hitting my line and stuff. Works fine for what it is.  While I'm not a fan of lining up a line on my golfball for every putt. I think for practice sessions it can have a lot of value.  To me this product makes sense. This is the first time I've seen it. It showed up as an add on the right side of the TST webpage. What do you all think? PuttAIM Laser Training Aid Get ready to dominate the greens like never before. PuttAIM Golf is a golf putting aid that uses laser technology to help you improve your game. This device works to ensure your putts are aligned properly and on track...
    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.
    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
