I was playing a scramble this weekend, we were on a down hill par 4  366 yards to the green from the white tees, everyone of my partners including me hit terrible drives best option we were left with was about 150 160 yards out, from the break point of where the hill starts from level ground, its got a creek about 20 yards in front of the green, i chose to hit a 6i and i topped it, like an idiot i just turned and started walking back to the cart without watching (firgured it was a lost cause) but my luck it bounced right b4 the creek and rolled about a foot from the hole!

Off frozen turf with just enough grass to allow me to pass my wedge under the ball, I flopped my third close to the first hole for a routine par this past weekend.  True, flop shots are a dime a dozen but not when it is the 1st week of February in Michigan.  Right now it is a white out and everything is being covered by an inch or so of snow.  No golf this coming weekend.

I made a 20' (?) putt that had a couple of breaks. It was a cliff hanger for a second or two.

I played like it was my first time ever on a course... got to my 16th hole (it was a shotgun start) and put (another) ball in a greenside bunker.

I hit it thin... the ball caught the lip but still got out (I lost sight of it at this moment)... my playing competitors said it steamed towards the pin, slammed into it at Mach 3 speed and stopped 8 inches from the hole.  I calmly marked it (didn't have my putter in my hand), waited my turn and tapped in for my only hole of par or better the entire day.

Short par 4 #7 on Northdale is 336 from the white tees with water up front and right about 230 out and a lane in left protected a bit by trees. Played driver and blasted it left hand side. Cleared the trees at about 225 easily, must have got a golf cart path bounce because when we rolled up I was 50 yards away from middle of green.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
