I liked the piece on the roundup of the year. It captures some of the main events pretty well but one thing is for sure the Woody Austin could pretty much make it to the funniest thing on the golf course for the decade and not just 2007 and god bless YouTube which allows us to relive the moment again and again and still leave us with chants of encore.

Tiger was quite obviously the player of the year. This will also go down as the year when Rory Sabatini managed to get on Tiger’s nerve with some of his comments that had not gone down too well with Tiger but it is not as if Tiger had to embroil himself in a slanging match because he just has to turn up on the golf course and leave the rest of the field following him on the leaderboard. As is Sabatini’s comments were not enough there is this new young player Jason Day who has already gone on record to say that he will be there next year to dethrone Tiger from the number one position. While it is good to set high goals one wonders whether these guys, especially new kids on the block must be more careful while choosing their words when they talk in a manner that sounds less ambitious and a lot more cocky for sure.
