Volume Two

Cell phone rings annoy everyone, Nike to run our government, Annika get's a handful, Asian influx on the LPGA and I think I broke my TV after last week's Big Break III.

A little birdie told me that the guys at The Players Championship (not to be confused with the Playa's Championship) were hoping Monday's play was cancelled, as they knew volume two of Hittin' the Links would be arriving in their web browser or RSS aggregator of choice. They're anxious to see what we've selected for this week's edition. So, all you guys playing poker in the locker room, count your chips and take a break, cause here's volume two.

Ringy-Dingy
What do you think will happen if you take a cellphone to a golf tournament and it rings in Tiger's backswing? I've got $50 on Stevie Williams doing the funky chicken dance after he elbow drops your phone. [link]

Nike for President
Since Tiger is saying he doesn't plan to play golf as long as we might think, maybe he'll run for President. He could spend his free time putting on the carpet of the Oval Office or and turn the National Mall into a driving range. [link]

Sorenslam
Annika could possibly be one of the most dominant golfers in the history of the game. She's won five straight, and that is completely impressive. However, I must admit, if it were Jennifer Rosales, I'd be completely intrigued. [link]

Happy Ending on the LPGA
No, there aren't happy endings, but Asians do it better (on the LPGA). If I were Ty Votaw, I'd be sanctioning as many LPGA events in Asia as possible. That seems to be where all the talent is coming from right now. [link]

Kill Barbie
Does anyone want to boycott the Big Break III with me - at least until Danielle gets kicked off? I hate her. If I hear one more, "in competition, I just get tunnel-vision and focus harder" out of her, my head will explode. She's not even good eye candy. I bet she's in this to get a Playboy contract. [link]

All, thanks for the submissions. Please keep them coming. I'll drop you a trackback, link or shout-out if you provide some fodder for this here column.
