Creamer Medalist at LPGA Q-School

Just six months from high school graduation, Paula Creamer earned her 2005 LPGA card.
Closing with a 2-under 70, Paula Creamer cruises to a five-shot victory in the LPGA qualifying tournament. Six months from high school graduation, Creamer has secured a spot on the 2005 LPGA Tour.
Creamer entered Q-School as an amateur and waited until she'd secured her card. The decision was easy Sunday evening at LPGA International. Creamer hung near the lead all week, but pulled away on the weekend. "This hasn't sunk in yet," Creamer said. "I'm really thrilled and I'm really anxious to get started."
Creamer had a pretty good year. She finished second at the ShopRite LPGA Classic by one shot. She was low amateur with Michelle Wie at the US Women's Open. She made every cut in the seven LPGA events she played and reached the semifinals in the US Women's Amateur and the US Junior Girls. And she played well in the Curtis Cup. "This summer helped a lot. Every week I was very consistent. I really feel I can play out there" said Creamer, who had previously secured a spot on the LPGA's developmental tour, the Futures Tour.
Another 18-year-old, Brittany Lincicome, also earned her card. Lincicome made headlines after grabbing the opening-round lead in the 2004 US Women's Open. 30 players earned their 2005 LPGA Tour cards, including the appropriately named "Birdie Kim":

This was the first year the LPGA Q-School was conducted over five days and 90 holes. Paula Creamer, recently featured in Golf Digest, is well on her way towards playing well in some 4-day tournaments.
