Pros: Looks, Playability, Forgiveness

Cons: Distance

I purchased these clubs about 5 weeks ago and have played about 1o rounds with them. So far they are everything i expected. They looks great at address and give you confidence in the club. They are easy to play and work the ball. After about a week with the clubs you will feel confident hitting draws and fades or anything else. The only thing i could complain about is distance. I hit them about the same as my old clubs, Ping i3+ Blades, but i recently hit the Mizuno MP4 irons and they are a much longer club than these. Although if the stars align and everything goes perfect you can get an extra 10 yards out of these. All in all these are great clubs for anyone who has good contact with their irons. i would hit these and the MP4's to see which you prefer.

I tested the 6i and 8i at a spring demo day. They were shafted in PXi 5.5 (108 grams). To my surprise, I was able to hit the club fairly well. XForged carried about a club shorter than the lighter-shafted X.Hot Pro, but at least I hit high, good shaped shots. I had done poorly with earlier model XForged (circa 2009)... couldn't get the ball airborne.

If you're a good ball striker - and not necessarily a single-digit HDCP - give these a try. You might be surprised. Just make sure you get the right shaft, custom if need be.
