Cons: Poor cover construction
I purchased a dozen of the Hex Black from my local golf retailer and I'm going to return them without even teeing one up. The reason is the shoddy construction of the cover.
I got these b/c they're on sale for $27.30 since Els won the Open so I couldn't resist. Maybe Callaway is rushing the production process to meet demand since the price is so low, but you can see the defects as soon as you take them out of the box.
Specifically, the hex pattern around the Callaway logo has "cuts" in it in the shape of the hexagon. It's almost as though someone took a razor blade and made small slices in the cover. I have played several dozen of the Tour i(s) and have never seen this type of defect before.
It may not affect the performance of the ball, but it leads me to question the quality of the construction of the parts I can't see. I'm returning them.....
