Pros: Does its job.
Cons: Rust is a gimmick. It wears off.
I have the 55 degree pre-rusted finish wedge (Not the black or satin finish). I found this club in a clearance sale for $25.00.
If I had a handicap, it would be a high handicap.
I can use this club with a full swing off the deck. It launches high, as a wedge should. With my swing, I reach about 55 yards with this club. It took a little while to get used to the club. My irons are PING G15's, which have a big sole that tends to sweep a divot than cut a divot. The Trusty Rusty sole cuts into the turf quite a bit more easily, and that took a little getting used to. Now, I don't even notice it anymore.
I use a Wilson Staff Duo, a softer two piece ball. When I hit a full swing from the fairway and hit the green, the ball will land and roll another foot. For me, that's the perfect backspin.
It's easy to hit shorter pitches with the club, too.
The rust wears off the sole and the lower face of the club after a practice session. Probably more of a gimmick than anything else. In any case, the club works.
