Pros: Looks, sound/feel, adjustability, shaft options
Cons: Not super forgiving
Very accurate review from @jamo. I agree with it 100%. Instead of re-type everything form his review, I figured I'd post why this driver has helped me.
I have the Red/white driver, set at a neutral 10.5, with the Matrix Red Tie 6Q3 67.7g stiff shaft. I'm not someone who gets obsessed with shafts (I don't even know my swing speed), but the shaft above felt noticeably better than the other stock options Cobra offers with BC+. I have an average carry distance of 250, and a straight ball flight (if that helps anyone for comparison purposes). My miss is a slight push or fade.
What I love about this club (other than the looks, sound and feel) is how it produces that "penetrating" flight that we all search for. I guess it is promoted as a "low-spin" driver, which would make sense. If conditions cooperate, 30+ yards of roll out is totally reasonable. With other drivers that I have hit, I tended to spin the living hell out of the ball. "Ballooning" would be a good word. The Bio Cell+ reduced that significantly.
The head is a little smaller than the average driver (430CC), but surprisingly it's "easier" to hit the sweet spot IMO. The face looks (maybe IS?) taller than the Amp Cell and Bio Cell, which works well for me as I tend to miss high/low on the face rather than heel/toe.
As @jamo said, this club seems to fly under the radar with all the hype of SLDR, Big Bertha, etc., but it is a great club. Worth a try if you are in the market for a new driver.
