Pros: Greens were excellent. Layout was challenging with hilly terrain for Florida. Carts had GPS.

Cons: Some rough was a thin layer of grass over sand that played more like a sand shot.

We hit this course last in our Winter Depression trip.  Beautiful course with lots of features and some hilly terrain.  Great greens. Carts had GPS with distance to 150 marker and front, center and back of green.  On some holes the GPS gave distance to clear hazards.  Great feature.

Warm Up - Grass driving range nicely maintained.  Two level putting green and a separate green for pitching and chipping.

Tees - Nicely maintained and generally flat.  Granite markers with hazard features shown.

Greens - Nice greens that were running 10 judging from the break.  Putts rolled true.  They had lots of features too including multiple levels and ridges for more challenge.

Rough - Some of the rough was very thin grass over sand.  You had to play it almost like a sand shot.  Other areas had more of a rye type grass that was easier to work with.

Fairways - Nicely maintained.  Narrow on a lot of holes with trees and waste areas.  There was water really only in play on the two back nine par 3 holes.  There were some marshy areas, but you had to be really off to hit into them.

Sand - Fluffy but playable.

Overall layout - Nice layout with some interesting variation.  One par 5 had to be played as a double dog leg.  The back nine par 3s were next to or over water.  Another par 4 had you either lay up 160+ out or hit over a rock wall and creek to a narrow landing area.  The back nine also had some up and down hill holes.  Waste areas were used in quite a few areas.

Views - Lots of Osprey, turkey vultures, cranes and herons other critters like turtles.  Pretty course visually.

Staff - Friendly and welcoming.

Club House - Bar and Restaurant were decent with beer on tap.  A shower was available in the locker room.

Overall - Liked this course a lot.  Will definitely play again if I am in the Orlando area.
