Pros: Almost never busy, consistently good conditions, friendly staff
Cons: Mostly flat, limited bunkering, uninspired design
Hudson Mills is part of the regional Huron Clinton Metropark Authority park system, a bit off the beaten path but worth a trip to Dexter. Built in 1990 and designed by Metropark staff, the course plays to a par of 71. At 6,560 yards from the tips (71.2/118) the course offers a challenge to the good golfer without being too penal for the recreational player. There are 3 other sets of tees for those looking for a bit less of a challenge. The holes are routed through flat terrain with a few wetlands and tree-lined holes to keep things from being too boring but the wide fairways, limited bunkering and relatively flat greens may not hold the interest of some golfers.
