Pros: Comfy, Liteweight, Wide Back Pockets that blend into design, water repellant

Cons: Nada

Mr. Squint says "Buy'em."

And why not, they're on sale at www.ijpusa.com.

In fact, you can almost be like Mr. Squint, because while there's no one quite like him, you can wear IJP tech shorts, or their cotton, plaid counterparts to spice up the round or be the man in shorts about town.

As to the shorts, I like the length - long and yet wonderfully breathable. You don't notice the wide, back pockets because they blend into the design, but they are quite handy. The most comfortable pair of polyester shorts I've owned. Out of the box, they even bead up water.

Here is Mr. Squint, looking cool and comfy in 98 deg temps in white.

But there is more:

Look at the white shorts and find the back pocket. Mr. Squint double dares you. I'll have to draw an arrow - but see the wide hem - that is a pocket, and IJP, being the great guys and gals that they are, give you two of them. The tech shorts are straight out of the dryer. I've played in them at least five times, and if you like shorts, you will love these shorts.

I will review the cotton, plaidsters in a later Mr. Squint episode. Buy them while it's hot ... and they're hot.

Polyester clothing? I thought this fabric existed only during the 1960's. Well, anything for 'fashion' i guess. Looks like cut-off long underwear to me.
Au contraire, my dear boy. Polyester is everywhere - Clima Cool, Dri-Fit, Cotton-Poly Blends. They've done wonderful things with poly - IJP even has a tight mesh poly shirt that breathes well. BUT if you enjoy cotton, they also have natural materials - see the plaid above in cotton. The shorts and pants also arrive in conservative solids. Mr. Squint says, "Vive la Difference. I may not always wear polyester, but when I do, it's from IJP Designs."
Nice review Mr. Squint. Now we want to see those plaid shorts with a matching sweat band. #cleanlook
Great review! But Broseph, you need some "no-see" socks to go with the slick shorts.
