Pros: Never crowded, reasonably priced
Cons: A little far from everything
One of my favorite golf courses. Almost as much of a must-play destination in California as Pebble Beach or PGA West. Ask anyone who has played it and you'll get the same response. Definitely a challenge. Any course that holds US Open qualifying, you know you are in for a test. There is only one hole on the course that I just don't care for, #7. A demanding and blind (from the tips) tee shot from an elevated tee, with OB right and junk left. If you manage to find your ball you're looking at a shot back up to an elevated green, about two clubs worth. Other than that this place is great. Nice scenery through rolling hills, usually sunny, rarely crowded. I don't know of a time I've ever played where I had to wait on the first tee or for any shot.
