Pros: Course in great shape, excellent pace of play, friendly staff
Cons: More of a snack bar than restaurant inside
It has been a little over 2 years since I have last played this course and playing today made me wonder why it took so long for me to come back.
I could not find a single thing to complain about - the tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in immaculate shape. We had a 8:00am tee time on a Saturday morning and never waited other than for the group in front of us to putt out on a couple of the par 3s. You will not find too many public courses where you can play a 3:40 round at 8am on a Saturday morning.
With this being peak season, normal weekend morning cost is $46, we are members of a sister private course so we paid $19/each (which is cheaper than our cart fees at our home course)
This is a great course for those that can manage a course. We played the blue tees which are a little over 6200 yards - perfect for me and my crew to have an opportunity for GIRs on every hole. The greens would definitely compare with any private course I have played, fast and in great shape.
The long hitter than can not hit a straight ball will suffer here. Many fairways are tight with trees / water on one or both sides. All four par 3s have forced carries over water,
The only thing close to a complaint (and I cant complain since I knew coming in) is the lack of a real restaurant at the course. You can go in and get your basic beer and hot dogs but I am a private club guy that is used to getting a good lunch when I go in, but this place specializes in golf (which they rate a 10 on) and not food + beverage,
