Pros: Excellent on the course rule reference guide

Cons: Small cable to attach Tagz to bag

Quick!  What are your options if you hit a ball into a lateral hazard?

Instead of fumbling through your bag and then thumbing through your rulebook - if you can find it - you can simply refer to your Skillzys Golf Rule Tagz hanging from your bag.

Golf Rule Tagz are an incredibly simple concept; six waterproof plastic cards - each the size of a credit card - with some of the most common situations golfers face on the course, and the options available to the player printed on the back.  The situations covered are lateral hazards (red stakes), direct hazards (yellow stakes), out-of-bounds (white stakes), unplayable lies and obstructions.  The sixth card deals with "common rules" such as casual water, loose impediments, ground under repair and lost balls.

Think of Golf Rule Tagz as a sort of Cliff's Notes - or Spark Notes for younger generations - for the USGA  Rules of Golf.  They don't cover everything, but they definitely cover the rules questions that golfers ask most often on the golf course, and provide the player with the correct options.  By providing this information in a quick and handy manner, having Golf Rule Tagz are kind of like having a rules official dangling from your bag everywhere you play.  For tournament play, Golf Rule Tagz would be a great way to speed up play in the event of a rules question.  It's also a great way to help juniors learn the rules of the game and always have a handy reference available.

The only complaint that I have with the product is the cable that they come with to attach them together and to the bag.  It is very thin and the threaded clasp that holds the ends of the cable together can be a bit tricky to connect.  I didn't have any problems with it, but I can see where someone with limited vision and/or fine motor skills could experience difficulty threading the ends of the clasp together.

So... have you figured out what your options in a lateral hazard are?

I have.

I have Golf Rule Tagz on my bag!
