Pros: great soft feel
Cons: busy looking print
After struggling for a long time with the putter, i was trying to figure out what was wrong, i was missing almost all putts on the left.
I asked one off my friends to make a video with my mobile off my stroke to see what was going on. He closed up on my hands in the stroke.
After taking a look at the movie i noticed that my wrist worked just slightly on the backswing.
Because of that clubface was closed on all my putts. Tried a few drills to keep wrist from moving but that didn't work.
I was thinking a jumbo grip would help me. I posted a treat here and asked about what grip would fit best. Got more than a few responses about
the super stroke grip. So i went to look for one. BUT here in the Netherlands there is not even 1 shop who has them on stock.
20 euro's not the end off the world so i bought one online. Ordered some grips for my woods and irons also to get it free delivered.
They came in only couple days after purchase. Last week i put the grip on my Taylormade Ghost 770 tour putter and went to play the men's competition.
After hitting a few on the range i went to the putting green, i tried to grip it with 2 thumbs next to each other, but had no feel at all, so i went to my normal
standard grip ( the one from the books ) At first i struggled a bit to feel the distance. But felt my putter was more in Line. I am the first with this grip on our course
so some people wanted to feel it and try it, so not much practice in the putter before i went out to the first hole. I 3 putted the first from just off the green being way short
with my first putt. It took me 3-4 holes to get to feel the distance. Conditions where very windy making it hard to score, i was more than i would faced with a 10 to 15 feet par putt and sometimes even for bogey. But i holed them all. Resulting in a 75 ( 13 pars and 5 bogeys ) making no more than 27 putts.
The feel is nice and soft, but not to soft to lose the feel off the putter head. The grip being this big makes the wrist lock in there position forcing you to stroke with the bigger muscles.
Only negative thing: the printing is a little busy looking, but for me this was no problem.
I'm not saying this grip works for all off you people but for me it is a breakthrough.
