Love this Ball!

Pros: Distance, green side control

Cons: Price

I switched to the Pro V1X after a stint with the Pro V1. The X is more forgiving off the driver and slightly longer. Off the irons it doesn't balloon as much but still holds the greens. The short game control is phenomenal but the feel is harder than the V1 especially off the putter. The durability is acceptable but not outstanding. The price is the only draw back, but this ball is the ball that suits my game the best. If your Pro V1 is too spiny and you have a @ 105 mph or higher driver speed then give this one a try.

Just as advertised

Pros: Great Feel, Good Control

Cons: Shorter shots are longer, allow for some roll

I loved this ball. It did exactly as advertised. I needed my game to improve before I could move up to the Pro V1. This Pro V1x flies far. It will stop on greens provided you use the correct technique. It likes to fly, I learned to go one iron less on medium height shots to allow for skip and roll. This ball can take a beating.

Pro V1x

Pros: performance

Cons: scuffs up easily

Last year and this year I've attempted to play around with a number of "performance" balls and Pro V1x still remains on the top of my list..

Higher Ballflight

Pros: More greenside spin than the 2009 model

Cons: Durability has improved, but still is a problem

Reviewing a ball must be done with great care, not only based on 1 round ....   So I was wondering to keep playing the 2009 model of the Pro V1x (of which I could buy 8 dz. at a well reduced price) or to switch to the new model.   I bought a dz. of the new 2011 Pro V1x and went to the practice area and dropped 6 of the new balls near the chipping area and went on playing chips, pitches and putts to check feel, spin and sound.   To me the 2011 model has a bit more greenside spin than the 2009 model and I like the less "clicky" sound while putting ....... so in this area it feels as if the 2011 model comes a little closer to the 2009 Pro V1, which I really...

Excellent surprise

Pros: Durability, feel

Cons: none

I first played the newest version during our member/member tournament this year and had one of the best weekends of life.   Off the driver, this ball was flying an average of 10 yards more than my drives previous weeks with older versions.   My round started out rough with me hitting a few trees and using a cart path for added distance on a drive and the ball stood up to the punishment. Both days I finished with the ball I started with.   The feel when putting may not be as good as with the regular Pro V, but I found it to be much more acceptable than any lower priced ball out there, even if the ball feels a little heavy.   I cant comment on greenside...

Great ball!

Pros: Durable, predictable, and confidence inspiring!

Cons: The person who hits them
