Pros: Long and Workable

Cons: Unforgiving

When I baught this I was worried whether I could cope with the stiff shaft because I had never hit a fairway wood that wasnt a regular! I find it difficult to get use to early on and hit a few cuts and snap hooks but now with the increase in my ability and confidence to hit it well its been a joy to hit! It goes miles off the tee and the deck. I was never one to use a 3 wood off the tee on par 4's or 5's but now I use it constantly on narrow fairways because i can rely on it going straight!

The shaft is the key to any club i do not care what anyone says. If you are not fitted for the right shaft, then your shots are going to be inconsistent. If i were you, i would go to a local shop or course and get on a launch monitor and see if that shaft is for you. I had the exact same club you did, but i had the Pro Force V2 with X-Stiff shaft in it, but i got rid of it because i was always over drawing it. Now i have the 909 F3 with a Diamana driver shaft in it and i absolutely love it. The shaft for me was not stiff enough so maybe that shaft is not right for you? The club you have is a great club. It was one of the longer three woods i have had in my bag, but i could not hit it consistent, plus i never really hit it a whole lot either because i was just as straight and accurate with my driver. I would really only use it for layups or very long par 5s lol. But, my advice would be to get fitted for the right shaft and i bet that would make the difference. Because too stiff of a shaft makes you push/cut/fan it and it feels "dead". Or sometimes you make try to rip at it and start having the duck hooks. A really whippy/weak shaft most of the time makes you duck hook it alot, usually. I always try to get tested for swing speed and shaft on a monitor and it really helped my game. It makes your shots and mishits closer together rather than inconsistent and far apart. So take a look into that and tell me what you think? Thanks!
