I have a pair of these, a pair of last year's original models, and a pair of the True PHX model. Of the 3, I like the feel of the cheaper PHX shoes for comfort of fit, although all 3 pair are more comfortable than any golf shoes I've worn over the years. I'm sold on them.
I picked up a pair or the tours a month or so ago and love them. I never had a problem with the tongue, I found I had to go a half size up in the tour over my old FJ's. the PHX that I tried on ran the same as my FJ's.
I walk when ever I can and carry my bag, and with my old shoes my feet would be toast at the end of a round, pinched toes and sore sore feet overall. Now in the true tour my legs and back will be tired after a round, but my feet are ready to go another 18. Traction is also better then I expected, It's been raining a lot here recently and in several rounds on wet, or even soggy courses, I have only had one swing where my back foot slipped a bit, and that was trying to dig a ball out of deep, heavy, wet rough... no comment on weather or not I got the ball out. the waterproofing has been perfect so far as well.
When my wife saw them she said hay those should be comfortable, they are the same shape as your foot... she says I have canoe paddles for feet... now all I want to know is when True will make me a pair of shoes for off the course!
I have three pair of the PHX and I don't even consider other golf shoes because I love them that much. I could care less about how they look and I will admit that they aren't the most attractive shoes but man are they comfortable and that is what matters most. My hamstrings and low back used to kill me after a round and now I don't get any of that. The shoes are awesome to say the least.
Just picked up a pair (last years model) True Tours, due to a heart attack last month I haven't been able to try them out yet other than walking around the house. They feel great and finding a pair that fit me for $49.00 was perfect. Have a golf outing Thursday so it will be the first time out in almost 2 months now so I'm lookinf forward to playing in these. I also have a pair of Ecco old school shoes and a pair of the Ecco street shoes. I love Ecco shoes, always confortable but the new "True Tour" may be my permanent replacement.
