Pros: Liked the color, feel when putting
Cons: Turned a slight fade into a full blown slice
I was given a sleeve of these balls for the purpose of writing a review. Unfortunately, my strong success with the white S3 ball may have made the orange ball look a little less favorable to me.
Off the tee, I could not keep this ball in the fairway. Currently, I play a slight fade off the tee with an occasional left hook. All of the driver shots with this ball sliced into the right garbage. The good news was, even though this ball was often hit into the pine needles, its orange color still stuck out enough for me not to lose it.
Off of my irons and wedges, no complaints and nothing that made the ball stand out to me.
I will say the ball performed above average on the putting green. It felt soft off the putter and instilled confidence on long putts.
I like the color and would not be opposed to playing a ball of this color, since everyone seems to be jumping on the yellow bandwagon and I like to be different.
I am sure that this ball would be good for a more skilled player, I just can not recommend it for someone at my skill level. Luckily, Volvik has the white S3 for guys like me.
