Wow!    He gone!       Anybody want to buy those Nike clubs now?!    Maybe he ran out of golf balls???
  2. I'm a hacker!

So I picked up golf after a several year hiatus because of a different sport, baseball. I've been taking alot of information here and taking to the range for the past couple months.  Got myself some tm 2.0 burners and have been liking them.  I've been working on "hitting down on the ball" and it worked beautifully the last two days.  Until today!  Wow, what a hacker I was!  The things that helped me most for baseball was knowing my swing, or my delivery well enough to where I could adjust from pitch to pitch.  In golf, I know next to nothing which makes feel and adjusting nearly impossible.  I guess that's why I keep going back.  I give alot of baseball lessons, I guess now it's time for me to be the student!
  3. Are you getting the most out of your lessons?

There are many reasons why a student doesn't improve their game. I've been giving personal instruction for the last seven years.  However in a different sport, baseball.  I was fortunate enough to play professionally for six years and now enjoy my current job of giving back. It's a MAJOR
  4. Path to the Tour?

I don't need you to put words in my mouth.  You know what they say about people who assume..... Yes I said "13".  In this particular case the kid is 13 years old.  So what?  I made a general blanket statement in a forum with open communication. You said "Then why mention it?"...  I'm mentioning it because I see this stuff all the time.  I'm not on here to disrespect other people but to share some of my personal experience.
  5. Path to the Tour?

Did I say that it happened in this forum?  Why did you take so much offense to my comment?!  Did I mention your name? I work with kids on their game everyday.  I've listened to dreams, and have had people tell me I couldn't do things too.  I was making a general statement to the forum.  Maybe you should develop some thicker skin, it may even help your game!
  6. Path to the Tour?

Fact is this. Everybody has/had dreams and visions growing up.  Some people make those dreams come true, and some don't.  Some people's dreams change, whether it's through maturity or time, or because they realize that the dream is unattainable and new priorities need to be set.  But never is it ok to tell a 13 year old to not have dreams.......   unless if he/she is sleeping in class
  7. Path to the Tour?

I'm new to this Golf Forum. I played a different sport growing up, Baseball.  I dreamed about playing in the big leagues just about everyday of my life.  I was fortunate enough to have guys like Shorty around me and in my environment when I was growing up.  I had encouragment and support of family and friends.  It helped take me to a College Division I scholarship and then a 6 year professional career.  I now coach the game I love for a nice living.  No, I didn't make it to the Majore Leagues, but got damn close, and now get to reap the benefits for all my hard work growing up and can make a good living and not be at a desk all day.  Point is, it's ok for a young kid to have dreams.  That's part of the fun of being a kid!
  8. From Baseball to Golf!

Hi everyone, I'm from Michigan and just got a new set of clubs fitted to me for the first time in about 15 years.  Baseball took up most of my time in the last decade or so, and now I'm trying a new sport.  I got some Taylormade 2.0 burners   4-AW, and a Callaway Ft-IZ driver.  Love em.  I would like to decide on a hybrid.  Obviously, up here in Michigan all I can do is go to the range for now, but it sure is alot of fun.  Look forward to contributing to this site!
